8 bits of ECC for 64 bits of data.

At one point the trade press was talking about low cost block oriented
random access memory (BORAM), which would have been a natural for ES.
Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to have materialized, or at least
BORAM failed to maintain an adequate price lead.
