Correct. Unless the dataset are OPEN and then only TERADON can perform the
REPRO MERGECAT process.

There is also Catalog Recovery Plus (CR+) from Mainstar
(www.mainstar.com) that does the same thing.

You can use IDCAMS REPRO MERGECAT, but the process can be painfully
slow. I can volunteer a copy of our T-REX product that can perform the
REPRO MERGECAT in a fraction of the time as compared to IDCAMS. Just
contact me offline.

Another consideration, since these are DB2 files, is that all files must
be CLOSED. This is true for IDCAMS REPRO MERGECAT and T-REX. My only
advise here would be our TERADON product that can perform the REPRO
MERGECAT process while the dataset remain OPEN.

We have sap on db2 v.8 on zseries. We made mistake, we don't define
alias SAPQAS for tables (we have about 500000 tables). We have a large
number (about 50000) entires (SAPQUAS..) in mastercatalog.
My questuin:
How can i move entries (sapqas) from mastercatalog to any usercatalog
Best regards, PTT Serbia Zoran Trifunovic
