My point about MIPS/MSU (while I did digress, and for that I appologise), is that they are NOT good metrics! There aren't any good ones, anymore. LSPR is haphazard. Gartner is a joke! Phil admits that his MIPS charts are worth what you pay for. And, our management is paying software charges based on faulty figures. No other industry would accept that. When in doubt.
