Ed,
I think you are right on the money. I have seen similar things
happening in Illinois.
Speaking of which I had a strange dream last night of this AS400 (I
have vaguely seen one) conking out as an NJE node . The sysout
receiver was not working correctly and once a sysout was sent to it
it would not acknowledge the end of output to JES. I looked at the
AS400 and hit it with my fist and out plopped a punched card that
when feed through the card reader would then send the end of sysout
back to JES. The AS400 expert didn't have a clue. I told him how I
had fixed the bug and suggested he call IBM for support. He refused
to saying it was not a software bug.
Talk about weird dreams.
