Hi folks,

many unrelated topics. a little australasian flavoured.

plurals:
when talking of two ot more instances of the same object.
fruits
fats
sheeps

heard here many times.

money:
fwiw..... I dislike US green dollars.....they are all the same non-green
colour....they are all the same size.....the are all a strange oblong
shape....and they all feel the same.....and they are paper..

I am very familiar with notes of differing denominations that are:
o. different colours
o. different sizes....larger denominations have larger size
o. plastic....so they dont disintegrate in the wash....but the first
examples did have the colour wash off, but they fixed that.

atm:
"at the moment" :-)

the machines here do give out and receive notes, but they also do many
other transactions:-
o. pay your bills
o. transfer money to your other accounts including credit cards
o. buy and sell stock
o. transfer money to somebody else account, even if it is a different
bank.
o. and for the old fashioned, they will even print entries in a bankbook.

and this is all possible because of the unseen mainframe computer systems...

Regards
Bruce Hewson
