Tom, you're right. I would only argue with your timeline. If they are
not careful then they're probably looking at something more like 10
years, 15 at the outside before it's all over and you can consign the
mainframe to the dustbin of history. Just think of the rate of change in
technology over the last 10 and then add in the other market drivers
like aging workforce etc. If they win this one, they're sealing their
own fate (and sadly, ours too)
