Thanks Rob. That solved my Problem#2 as well. Interesting that the REXX translator has a few quirks. I'll have to take the time to fix these but for now I just worked around them.
I noticed that: 1) It didn't recognize .* comments in macros (I did change FLMLRASM to correct that one) 2) It doesn't like labels on macro prototype statements 3) It doesn't like comments which have continuations Sheesh!
