I have used both IEBCOPY and TRANSMIT format. I switched to TRANSMIT
because there are pc applications that can read it.
I agree; TRANSMIT is a great way to pack a PDS into a sequential file. But
when it comes to transferring files to or from a PC, whether they are
sequential (including transmit format) or individual members of a PDS, I
much prefer the ISPF Workstation Agent (WSA.EXE) over FTP or IND$FILE.
