One of the easiest ways to do this is to use SMTP to send the page to the users pager e-mail address. Nearly all (all that I know of but there may be some paging providers that don't) have the ability to send text to a pager (or cell phone enabled with text paging) via SMTP.
This obviously imposes a delay while the SMTP mail travels the intranet and internet but does not require any additional hardware. You just need to configure and activate the z/OS SMTP server and then setup a simple SMTP e-mail format to be used. hth Lionel B.
