List - I have been working with the manuals last night, but am not getting a really clear picture on structure rebuild and preference list with duplexing in the CF.
I have a DB2 group buffer pool whose preference list is STRA, STRB. Group owning node name XB0P, Members: XB1P and XB2P. At some point I an IXL/IXC messages indicating a rebuild process has been initiated. My question: Do DB2 GBP structures start out in one CF and sometimes wind up in a different CF if there is duplexing? If there is a rebuild process can it change which CF is preferred? Or are there any manuals that might help me better understand what activity goes on during an AUTOALTER process? I tend to get dyslexic and see one thing and think another. I am just trying to understand what us MVS Sysprogs need to do to make DB2 data sharing Happy in the CF. Yep - been reading the Setting up a SYSPLEX red book along with the appropriate ABC's manuals. Just looking for personal experience here. So some help understanding these messages will help me.
