I noticed recently that if you do this for the IBM South Road site in Poughkeepsie, it has been intentionally blurred to a much lower resolution than the surrounding area. So I guess IBM Pok is "strategic" to the nation, but San Jose isn't anymore. Other sites where the Heavy Hand has been in the Hudson valley include the United States Military Academy at West Point, the expected oil refineries, nuclear power stations, and for some reason the commuter rail station at Croton Harmon (but not the Poughkeepsie station). http://maps.google.com/?&ll=41.655535,-73.933783&z=16 Some non-US IBM lab sites I know appear unfuzzy: the Toronto lab: http://maps.google.com/?&ll=43.818489,-79.33676&z=17 Old Toronto lab and manufacturing site, spun off to Celestica 10+ years ago: http://maps.google.com/?&ll=43.722211,-79.341534&z=17 Hursley: http://maps.google.com/?&ll=51.02543,-1.396079&z=17 Hmmm... Armonk HQ is clear - maybe it's just places where Real Work(tm) gets done. Yeah, I know - save it for Friday.
