According to the FTP RFC a 2 in the first digit means:
2yz Positive Completion reply
The requested action has been successfully completed. A
new request may be initiated.
a 5 in the second digit means:
x5z File system - These replies indicate the status of the
Server file system vis-a-vis the requested transfer or
other file system action.
257 means: "PATHNAME" created.
Does the action of logging on cause a directory to be created for file
transfer?
