As far as I'm aware, we have been using CNVTNUM=2 for the longest time:

$DPCEDEF                                                
$HASP849 PCEDEF 160                                     
$HASP849 PCEDEF  CNVTNUM=2,PURGENUM=2,PSONUM=2,OUTNUM=2,
$HASP849         STACNUM=2,SPINNUM=3

In our case, the jobs submitted with a TYPRUN=HOLD and then they were re-
prioritized and they were always  released and ran by the jobnumber in 
sequential order.  This never posed a problem as long as they were in the 
same unique initiator.
