Patrick, I'm not sure of all the details, but we recently retired our 2066-002. We had two GP processors and 1 IFL active, so it's a supported configuration. IBM or a business partner should be able to help you with the configuration details.
As others have pointed out, don't expect much out of this other than being able to bring up a "functional" system. We didn't have much memory to give that LPAR and our open systems group were very quick to point out that the IFL was a dog and why would anybody want to run there. It took the z9 upgrade to start changing minds, but a lot of the damage was already done in terms of perception and expectations. Bottom line: be careful what you put there and have very clear expectations of what it is and is not before you start.
