My preference is LRECL of 255 however IBM and most (all) vendors ship their rexx libraries as LRECL 80 so the SYSEXEC concatenation becomes the main issue.
I still develop with VB/255 but I keep the content within the 80 character limit so that I can easily copy what I do into a FB/80 for sharing. hth Lionel B.
