What do you mean 'sync'? The DR ATL would have whatever tapes you put in for the test. The BAU (business as usual) ATL would have its normal population of tapes minus those sent to DR. The source ATL and the tapes therein would be presumed to be destroyed.
I suppose you'd want to populate the DR ATL then run an audit to sync the ATL to the tape manager software on your DR system. I would be watchful for the tape manager database being older than the backup tapes. In that case, the tape manager may think your backups are still scratch tapes.
