If your account lets DSS default to FASTREPLICATION(PREFERRED) (from OA11637) then the answer would be a qualified YES. I don't have users that use DSS, so it's not a problem here. Seems like something must have changed, if you were doing this 'before' and now are getting this error. Your account could put on the ADRPATCH to change the default.
