The answer is "no" because z/VM DFSMS/rms, which provides the control point for tape libraries, does not provide the ability for applications to specify or control the Management Class, Data Class, Storage Class, or Storage Group, some or all of which are all required to allow a tape management system to migrate volumes to/from the cloud or otherwise manage replication. Customers haven't been vocal about needing that capability, so it's unlikely to ever change. And once DFSMS were to add that support, the TMS (e.g. IBM Tape Manager) would need to exploit it.
