"unusual protocol" is not a cloud requirement. PostGRE is used as a cloud
database service and will happily function with the standard PostGRE api.

Public clouds tend to use proprietary API with unusual protocols. This is by
choice. First, it keeps customers locked in to specific provider (e.g. Google).
Second, they can make cloud services agnostic and generic where the API is not
tied to PostGRE, MySQL and other service providers.

z16, z17 and LinuxOne are real mainframes that are being purchased by
customers.

How is it that Google runs 5M servers yet not one of them is a z16 or z17?
Google provides cloud services on horribly designed software. Google provides
AI in a horribly configured environment when a z17 is technically simalar to
the El Capitan supercomputer.
