Thanks, Mike. We already have two, NOACTION and NOMIG, that do nothing and I 
could build a new one just for this purpose. This might be the best solution, 
but it has its risks. If the NOMIG class gets changed then it will affect all 
these datasets whereas clearing out the Management Class does not incur this 
risk.

How about setting up a MGMTCLAS named like NO, NONE, NOTHING, etc.
with no backups, etc, and assigning that value.
