All applications are developed in PL/1 Up to 50% applications are developed in PL/1 All CICS transactions are PL/1 This type of information could be helpful with your question. Any upgrade will be depended on how vested you are in the compiler and how time critical your applications are. z/OS V2.1 and CICS TS 5.1 are fairly new. I am not sure that there are many shops using these levels of software at this time.
