The valid range is 0—32760. A special value of x (LRecl=x) is also supported to indicate that a logical record length can exceed 32760 for variable-length spanned records. So apparently FTP supports transfer of RECFM=VBS,LRECL=X. I'll need to try it. And maybe submit an RCF requesting an example. IBM's implementation of FTP is horrendously complicated. Kinda like z/OS data management. -- gil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
