LE abends are hard, deadly hard to solve. There is even a SHARE presentation about that. I have seen this previously but for RC=92 (COBOL using LE), not 90 you experienced. As I posted in May 2010, it is indeed a LE problem and my problem is with 'Anchor point'. As one friend kindly noted, the fact that right half of register 1 contains 4093 means in other words "it has already decided to abend..." ;-D Try increasing your REGION. Weird, yes, but that suggestion was given to me by a very kind IBM-MAIN member offline years ago. This is to give LE a change + space to resolve a problem it tries to resolve. You may discover other [new] errors as well. Check them out too (and on SYSLOG too!) and post them here if you can. Oh, before I forget, what are you using to invoke FTP? Via a program in batch or interactive? If that does not help, please post ALL the dump messages, you did not posted every lines including those with the registers.
