I suggest to take a look at JES device information services (SSI function code 83), described here: https://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLTBW_2.1.0/com.ibm.zos.v2r1.ieaf200/ssifc83.htm The corresponding macro IAZSSJD indicates that the SSI returns a "Reader common section" containing field JDRCDFJC (Default job class).
