For comparison of JESs, two other sources - 1) Ed Jaffe had a Whitepaper (?) he produced on JES2/JES3 differences 2) David Jones and Tom Wasik have presented joint sessions on JES2/JES3 function comparison - search SHARE proceedings for those.
