Right. A lot depends on exactly which box you get. z/VM 4.3 supports z800/z900. z/VM 4.4 is needed for z890/z990. But since you may find yourself wanting software support during the upgrade, getting to 4.4 first would be a Good Thing. Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
