I've got my own simple exec to help me buidling GCS, that starts with GCS ASSEMBLE instead of GCS CONFIG. So I forgot a bit. I think there was a CONFIG EXEC that displayed a panel. Anyhow, you start with (in MAINT) VMFSETUP ZVM GCS then have a look at the E- or F- disk I think the panel creates a GCS CONFIG, copies that into GCS ASSEMBLE and assembles it. As a final step you'll need to rebuild the GCS segment witj VMFBLD PPF ZVM GCS GCTLOAD (ALL
