I don't understand what you mean by "anone with TCPIP access." Are you talking about people who use TN3270 through this server? You can't be seriously saying that because of TCPIP's having LNKNOPAS that they can link to all disks, are you?

Thanks for the information about journaling. I'll look into it. I've never ventured into that area, so I doubt that anything is set up in a non-default manner.

I suppose one way to get around this would be to give TCPIP LNKNOPAS authority.

That would give anyone with TCPIP access also access to all disks in
the system. Depends on your installation whether that is a problem. I
used to have a separate disk for my obeyfile stuff and gave it read
password ALL.
