Unless you have security or support policies prohibitting it, I STRONGLY urge
you to build it from source. This is a fairly straightforward app to build. (X
apps are the worst, but X3270 is the easiest X app I have ever built.)

       download the source
       unpack it
       ./configure
       make
       make install

X3270 will of course need the
X development suite installed (headers and libraries). Thankfully, X3270
follows the standard recipe.

Interesting. I have 3.3.20 installed (with SUSE 10). Did you build
from source?

I resize my window by dragging the bottom right window corner and the

Dragging the window corner does not change the size, it just
repositions the origin of the window.

Option -> Fonts is an option, but they are used to using the maximize
and restore buttons.

Why don't they just drag the corner of the window to resize it?
Or from the menu: Options -> Fonts -> pick size

They don't desire a odd model configuration, just a way to blow up a
mod 2 screen, then put it back.

I've never gotten that behaviour from the maximize button on X3270,
but I regularly use its "-oversize" option. Works great, if it will
be enough for your customer.

Does anyone using x3270 on Linux know how to get the emulator to
expand to full screen mode using the maximize button on the Window
(or less desirable a key combination)? I have a customer that uses
another emulator and they can expand to full screen, they would
like to convert some of their users to x3270 under Linux. This
'feature' appears to be missing.

Thanks.
