UM31784 is really a mini-RSU. If you order it, you will get maintenance for all of the same components that you get on a regular RSU. I ordered it and found 4 CP PTFs and 1 CMS PTF plus some for other components. I've loaded the CP parts and have them running on a 2nd level test system and one LPAR with no adverse affects. The CMS PTF is for IOCP and you only need it for z9.
