Hello. Is it possible to some how attach a file to an email sent out

The other suggestions are good to produce standard attachments that a
mail client will understand. If both sides of the conversation is CMS,
the approach below may be nice too.

Back in the old days when John Hartmann and myself were not connected
through RSCS, we had a pair of XEDIT macros meant to work in the NOTE
and PEEK environment. To "attach" a file it was wrapped in NETDATA
format, encoded in base64 and inserted in the note. The other macro
was to "harvest" files from the note in your reader or notebook. The
files got punched to your reader, and normal CMS commands could be
used to take it from there.
Maybe I should make the "harvest" part to understand normal SMTP
headers as well so I can extract all these EXE and GIF files in the
spam I get on my CMS userid. :-)

OT: I was a bit surprised to find my CMS user being spammed even
though I never published that anywhere so must have been through
guessing. Makes you wonder.
