If that's the case, you could allocate a minidisk starting a cyl 0. Then link to it and try to access it. If it were used as a minidisk before you should be able to see the label. Not that it will help fix the problem, but you will know what happened.
In response to your question, if you reformat cyl 0 and can remember exactly how the allocation was laid out you "should" get back everything except for what was formatted as the minidisk, assuming that's what happened. Why cylinder 0 is wiped out ? what if I reformat cyl 0, will the data be
lost from other location in this pack ?
