If you have CP SET CPCONIO IUCV, the RDR FILE message will be seen by PROP. Or you can build a "hot reader" application using WAKEUP. (I think there are prebuilt hot reader apps on the VM Download Library.) Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
