If you mean using the version of CMS Pipelines that comes with z/VM, I fear you would at least miss the trackread and trackwrite stage. Those are the ones that Bruce is using too. Those stages are very useful to handle non-CMS disks. The difference for the TCP/IP stages is only for some specific cases at termination of the connection. Rob
