I vaguely recall the books, but think they are overly
complicated for this group. They will NOT be compiling or executing
their programs in z/VM - that will continue to be done in z/VSE.
However, I will not rely on my spotty memory and I'll look again at

Start with the CMS Users Guide and the CMS Application Developers
manuals. The Users Guide is pretty good for basic getting around, and
the dev manuals are more detailed (if a bit dated).
