I had one change to IPGATE: when using native SFS, the SFS server sees the CMS client's alternate userid and acts accordingly. When the standard IPGATE is involved, this no longer works, so I changed a couple of lines in IPGATE1Y I also changed 1 line IPGATE1, but I didn't note why. I think it was make make IPGATE run when using VIPA addresses. Both changes are available on request.
(What is "Alternate Userid? e.g. user KRIS submits a VM Batch job that is then executed in worker machine BATCH001; when the batch job connects to SFS, SFS uses the authority of user KRIS instead of BATCH001) 2007/10/30, Ken Watson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > > It's in SG245164. > > > > *"Said, Nick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>* > Sent by: The IBM z/VM Operating System <IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU> > > 10/30/2007 09:48 AM Please respond to > The IBM z/VM Operating System <IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU> > > To > IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU cc > > Subject > Re: Cross system Shared File System... > > > > > > > ---------------------- Information from the mail header > ----------------------- > Sender: The IBM z/VM Operating System <IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU> > Poster: "Said, Nick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Cross system Shared File System... > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > It doesn't appear to be available on the VM download page any longer. > Does anyone know where this package can be downloaded? > > -----Original Message----- > From: The IBM z/VM Operating System [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Marcy Cortes > Sent: Friday, October 26, 2007 4:41 PM > To: IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU > Subject: Re: Cross system Shared File System... > > IPGATE will do that for you if you have to use IP and aren't close > enough for an ISFC CTC. > =20 > I believe its on the VM Downloads page. > =20 > > Marcy Cortes > > "This message may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
