I understand the point, but the z/OS version of TSM is the "mainframe" version of the product. The Linux version of TSM is designed for distributed systems. What you're asking for is a 3rd, "hybrid" version of TSM that has one foot in each world. (Don't get me wrong; I'm not criticizing the desire to have such a thing.)
