So I suspect that this is a VSWITCH(?). Some of the devices were offline and we have them back on line. John would like some help and I have never worked with VSWITCHes and I know that lots of you out there have. If anyone can give John some assistance, he would appreciate it. When you lost the OSA card, what was the Resolution? I would suspect that the OSA adapter is somehow off line to the VSE system. REASON = X'0035' Ensure that the OSA Express adapter is connected (via cable) to the LAN. Ensure that the port is enabled on the OSA Express CHPID. This has to be done on the service element. If you have z/VM do a Query on the device. If native VSE, let's check for the devices (all three if you are using QDIO) and see what the status is. VSE may have dvcdn the OSA card when you had the problem. And finally, check all the connections from the OSA to the Network switch. Loose cables can cause all sorts of problems.
