MPCOSA is for OSA-2 (OSE) chpids. MPCIPA is for HiperSockets (IQD) and OSA-Express2 (OSD). See the z/OS IP Configuration Reference. So for VM, use MPCIPA. Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
