Another approach is to use DIRMAINT or VMSECURE to do it. We have
VMSECURE, so I define a pool that consists of the volumes containing the
maintenance disks. Then it is simply a matter of one VMSECURE CHGMDISK
command to expand or contract any of the normal minidisks. The same
thing can be done using DIRMAINT (at least it could 15 years ago when I
worked in a shop that used DIRMAINT). The ease of doing it that way was
a godsend when installing some of the products back in those days. I
remember one installation of a product (that shall remain nameless so as
not to embarrass anybody on the list) where two or three of its disks
filled up during installation. One even had to be made 4 times the size
specified in the installation instructions in order to load the product
from tape. It was sort of obvious that the vendor had never installed it
following their own instructions. If you want the names of the vendor
and product, send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Generally a good plan. Remember to COPYFILE with the "OLDDATE"
option.

But when you have them copied to the 3CC, why not just delete
the old 2CC,
and rename the 3CC to 2CC? Saves a step.

I'm out of space on MAINT's 2CC drive where the directory is
located.

        I need to create a new 2CC.

I plan to create a 3CC, copy all members over to the 3CC from
the 2CC,
delete the old 2CC, Create a new 2CC and copy all the members
back to the
        2CC from the 3CC.

Are there any other issues I should be aware of?

        Thanks.
