I always say to myself we are defining Virtual devices so the first UCB is the virtual one on a DEDICATE, just as it is on an MDISK, GRAF or SPECIAL.
Then IBM allows LINK which is backwards, but we all know that one! And, both UCBs are virtual, duh.
