in thinking about it tho, a poll would be really difficult. I think it would have to be categorized. because those who buy young unbroken domestic icelandics are most likely 100% happy. Thrilled in fact. Those who buy horses advertised as good sound trail horses with no issues from people who breed, sell and trail ride are probably statistically way up there as being happy, probably 80 %. but those who buy good safe trail horses from those who breed for color or show and sell for color and or show and or trailriding, are probably very very low. maybe 10% happy. jmo. jmo based on reading posts here for years. I would say people buying trail horses imported from iceland are less % happy than even that, maybe 1%. I would say foreign breeders and sellers sell some pretty terrible horses to americans except for canadian sellers. They seem to sell some pretty awesome horses but I have heard horror stories from there also. We need to quit being so dang secretive about the crap breeders/trainers and sellers out there and start building up the domestic breeders and canadian breeders/trainers that do such an excellent job and stop relying on the foreign breeders who victimize americans and gouging them for money and laughing about it as they sucker americans by passing off bad quality stock, psycho horses from psycho bloodlines, abused horses with issues etc, falsified paperwork etc. and start promoting and aiding good reputable domestic and canadian breeders of high quality safe and sane mounts.
