I used it on Hreggur and he moved out well in it. There is a pic somewhere of me in my cartharts and Hreggur foxtrotting....and getting anything out of Hreggur on the trotty end of things was a miracle in itself, so something was working. I used a channel pad and a sheepskin with it. The seat is very substantial...as well as the spine channel. We have a bareback pad here and use that when we're training babies, but I like the Diddi saddle better...and as I'm writing this, I'm wondering why we're not using the Diddi pad instead of the pretty blue bareback pad...it would give their backs a bit more protection... Hmm... I liked it, but I have a sensation now that fits me like a glove and have started using that instead. Wanda
