I think it depends what you call a bolt. To me, a bolt is the horse running blind with its brain switched off, in blind panic. Will go over a cliff if there's one in the way. In 20 years I've met hardly any Icelandics who ever do that. However, Icelandics who run away with their riders....... well, yes, there are a fair few of those!
