Reading your mails about "sweating Icelandics" I remembered an article I've read a while ago. The author of this article sees a connection betwenn sweating / non-sweating in the Icelandics and sweet itch. Unfortunately the article is written in German, but possibly a German member of the group can/could translate an "abstract" of it.
