If you only have 1-2 acres of pasture, its pretty easy to walk for 15 minutes a day just pulling them out of the ground and into a trash bag. In a month you'll have most of them gone for the season. Its a pain but it works. Wear gloves so you can get the roots. Lime if you can to prevent so many for next year.
