To All Participants:

YCYC is excited to host the 32nd Harry H. Anderson Jr. Regatta. I have just a
few things to remind you before arriving at YCYC. Number 1 is parking. It is
limited. Each team can park one car or van in the lot. Please back in your
vans so the back end can overhang inside the boat lot. If you get here late
and the lot is full then you are out of luck and must park at the Adult Day
Care. Parking is available in the lower lot so make sure you pull all the way
in. You may not park on any road adjacent to YCYC or you will be towed and our
neighbors will get very angry with us and you. Please be considerate. There
will be a shuttle running back and forth from YCYC and the adult day care. You
are welcome to drop gear and people off but please take your additional vehicles
to the day care which is about 1 mile due east of YCYC on Short Beach Rd. Many
of you will remember the emergency we had here last year in the Spring. The
roads must be open the the emergency vehicle path clear.

Saturdays forecast is for big breeze and waves from the east, temps in the low
60's in the morning to 70 in the afternoon and intermittent rain. If you have
never sailed on Long Island Sound in an easterly you are in for a treat! Be
prepared for this. Multiple balers, appropriate clothing and the right size
team will make your day rewarding. Otherwise you will be miserable with a boat
full of water, freezing cold and getting blown over in the larger puffs. We
will sail out by Cow and Calf which is the red bell separating Granite Bay from
LIS. Please remember to back you jibs when you are waiting between races.

Coach's will be able to view racing from our 17 ft Edgewater in shifts. You
will also be a safety boat ready to help in any way necessary.

If the forcast holds up, this will be a memorable regatta for you so make it fun
for everyone by cleaning up after yourselves, taking care of the equipment you
use, by being safe and by being considerate to our neighbors.

See you on Saturday morning and please visit: www.yale.edu/ycyc/ for directions.

Bill
