University of Rhode Island FJs For Sale The University of Rhode Island Sailing Team is selling it’s fleet of Flying Juniors. The Vanguard built FJs were custom made, in 1998, to the University’s specifications which had both sailing and long term maintenance in mind. The boats were built with a lighter hull construction, over the transom rudder heads and forward raked rudder blades. All of the modifications make for a lively boat that is extremely fun to sail. Since their delivery to URI the boats have been maintained to a professional standard, which has kept the fleet in amazing shape. A detailed list of what is included with the boats as well as specific age and condition of the gear can be made available upon request. The fleet will be broken up into groups of six and sold in that fashion (smaller divisions may be possible). Further details as far as numbers of boats and pricing can be discussed upon contacting us. These are truly excellent boats that will fair very well for many years to come, creating a great fleet for any college, high school or recreational program.
