FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday - Great conditions for Day 1 of the Charleston Women's Intersectional
- sunny skies, air temp near 70. Breeze was from the west all day, starting at
10-15 knots and dying to 5-10 by late in the day. Big shifts and breeze lines
made the racing interesting. There was a weak flood tide for most of the day,
switching to a stonger ebb by the end of the day. We sailed through race 10A.
One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ for Eckerd.
Sunday - Another great day of racing in Charleston. Sunny skies, temps in the
60's. With an easterly breeze all day we moved the course up the river and
sailed in 5-10 knots of shifty conditions with flat water. No breakdowns, no
protests.
Huge thanks to CofC alumni Anne Bowen, Suzy Lintern, Dave Dabney, Russ O'Reilly
and Brendan Healy and the CofC team for running a great event. Congrats to the
Cougars!
