FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: Sailors arrived to a light easterly that quickly died off.
After
a 2 hour wait, a beautiful sea breeze filled in and we were able to
complete 6 races in each division. Courses were W/L and Gold Cups.
Sunday: Winds were out of the NE around 10 kts all day and temps
topped out
around 80, making a perfect day for sailing. Courses were W/L twice
around
and 6 races were completed in each division. One protest was filed,
resulting in an RAF.
Thanks to all the Eckerd sailors who helped run a very smooth event, and
special thanks to our judges, Tom and Barbara Farquhar and Ann
Newton, and
to Bill Stickley for taking some great photos. Congratulations to Salve
Regina for dominating the second day and winning the Eckerd
Intersectional.
One team was assessed a penalty for not signing the RP Forms.
